This aromatic turmeric cinnamon tea is always a winner! I can actually have a turmeric tea as at any time of the day: plain, aromatic, spiced – any variation! But one of my favorite versions is the homemade one. Recently, I tried experimenting and found the perfect combination of ingredients to warm me up on cold winter nights or simply give an enjoyable experience while reading my favorite books. I have tried an iced tea combination and surprisingly – it tasted equally good!
Why You Should Drink a Turmeric Tea
The benefits of drinking turmeric tea are countless. It’s a magical root with an amazing anti-inflammatory spell that boosts your immune system. It’s the brother of our friend ginger, but I rank it slightly higher due to its interesting flavor and vibrant color. But watch your fingers – they’ll turn a cheerful shade of orange for a few days! But who cares, really? It’s healthy and delicious! So let me show you how fun and flavorful your tea can be.

Turmeric – You need a 1-2 inch long root of fresh turmeric. Peel the skin off and slice it.
Cinnamon – One stick of fresh cinnamon will do wonders.
Slice of Orange – The orange will intensify all the flavors together and get you seriously addicted to this combination.
Optional (but recommended): You can always make your tea right in a mug, but trust me, a good teapot with an infuser takes it to the next level! It is a mess-free way to prepare your tea, making it your favorite daily ritual.
Prepare the tea – Add hot water to the cup and leave it covered for 5-10 minutes to let all the flavors release. If you like your tea a bit on the sweeter side, you can add some honey. I enjoy it as it is because the cinnamon adds a natural sweetness.
Next time you are curled up with a good book or you just need some cozy me-time, make yourself a cup of this aromatic turmeric cinnamon tea. It is like a warm hug in a mug. Plus, your immune system will thank you, and your taste buds will be doing a happy dance. Cheers to your vibrant orange fingers and deliciously healthy sips! You will love it!
