I simply can’t get enough of turmeric tea lately, so I started experimenting with various flavor combinations. This is one of my favorites because it uses three of my go-to ingredients: mint, turmeric, and orange. Yes, orange – not lemon.
Turmeric tea has endless benefits. This magical root packs some serious anti-inflammatory powers and can boost your immune system. Think of it as ginger’s younger cousin, but with a brighter flavor and absolutely fabulous orange colour. Just a heads-up: your fingers might turn a sunny shade of orange for a bit. But who cares? It’s healthy and delicious!
Mint is one of those herbs that’s refreshing, flavorful, and relaxing – all at the same time. It’s great for your stomach and an absolute must. Plus, it gives a fresh and beautiful look to every dish in your kitchen, and it this case – to your drinks.
Let me show you how fun and tasty this combination can be!
What Do You Need for the Turmeric Mint Tea

- Turmeric – 1-2 inch piece of fresh turmeric root. Peel it and slice it thinly.
- Mint – Few fresh mint leaves. I have loads of mint in my garden, so I am getting creative here.
- Orange – A slice of orange to make all the flavors pop and get you hooked on this combo. I know the usual choice would be the lemon (which I adore and respect), however – trust me on this one – the orange will do a special magic here.
Pour hot water into your cup and cover it for 5-10 minutes to let the flavors come alive. If you like your tea a bit sweeter, you can add some honey. I prefer it as is because the mint adds a refreshing twist.
So, the next time you’re curled up with a good book or need a cozy boost, make a cup of this aromatic turmeric mint orange tea. Your immune system will thank you, and your taste buds will be dancing with joy.
