Simple Balsamic Salad Dressing

Here is a simple balsamic salad dressing that saves the day, every time. In just few minutes, you will have a delicious dressing that pairs perfectly with any salad or grilled vegetables. My family can’t get enough of it, and I bet yours won’t either.

Whether you are rushing to get dinner on the table or trying to impress friends at a BBQ party, this simple balsamic salad dressing has got your back. It’s made from ingredients you probably already have in your pantry, so you can make it anytime. Plus, the kids can help with the mixing, just grab a small jar and let them shake. So let the salad party begin.

What You’ll Need

Balsamic Vinegar – This is the base for the dressing as the name alludes. Pick your favourite brand and let’s spice it up a bit.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil – No salad dressing can be made to perfection without good extra virgin oil. Don’t be afraid to use it, generous.

balsamic vinegar

Mustard – You can use any mustard, however I often opt-in for Dijon mustard as I like that extra spiciness.

Garlic – Mince some garlic to add that nice kick. You won’t regret it as nothing beats the garlic in spicing salad dressing to perfection. If you are worried about the smell, add just a touch to add a kick.

Honey – A bit of sweetness to balance the tanginess of the balsamic and vinegar is a must. You can use maple syrup instead, just add a bit more as the honey is usually sweeter.

How to Store the Salad Dressing

Simply bottle it up or pour it in a small jar and refrigerate for up to two weeks. It is so convenient to have a prepared dressing ahead of time, so go ahead and make some extra.
