It worked (or at least I thought it did), but it did not feel right! I felt guilty spending money on food that wasn’t even that satisfying, or that my family does not get the nutrients they should… And when I did manage to cook, I ended up stressed, making a mess, and wishing I had just ordered pizza (again).
But here’s the shift I made: I stopped trying to cook perfectly. Instead, I adjusted my mindset and my strategy. Now I can easily enjoy stress-free dinner every time I want!
What Has Changed
I started focusing on the small wins, like planning just a couple of meals ahead, using what I already had, and leaning on quick tricks like one-pot recipes and batching. Slowly, dinnertime went from chaos to something doable… even fun.
Now, instead of standing in the kitchen overwhelmed, I actually enjoy cooking for my family. We eat better, save money, and waste less food. Isn’t that the greatest win?
