I made marinated olives in feta just yesterday for my guests, and the bowl was empty in minutes. This appetizer is everything I love: simple, quick, and full of flavour. With just a few ingredients, you get something that feels fancy without any extra effort.
Why Marinated Olives With Feta Are The Best Party Appetizer
The mix of warm olives and creamy feta brings all those sunny Mediterranean flavours – salty, tangy, a little spicy, and just so good. Olivers with feta are delicious on their own, but I also love scooping it up with crackers or puff pastry.

Every bite of olives with feta feels like summer by the ocean, and I could happily enjoy it any day of the week. And if I add my favourite cocktail on the side… well, that’s the perfect combo.
What Olives To Use For This Marinated Olives Recipe
Use whatever type of olives you love. I like mixing Greek kalamata olives with green olives stuffed with sweet pepper. The colours look beautiful together and give a nice balance of flavours. Pitted olives make things easier for guests, so nobody has to deal with surprises.
You can mix more than two types of olives, absolutely yes. The more colours, the more different types of olives – the merrier.
What You’ll Need For This Marinated Olives Recipe
Olives – Pick your favourite mix and have fun with it. I love using kalamata olives and green olives stuffed with sweet pepper. The colours look so pretty together, and the mix of salty, sweet, and tangy brings so much flavour with almost no work.
Cream cheese and sour cream – These two team up with the feta to make the smoothest, creamiest layer for the healthy marinated olives and feta. It’s rich, simple, and makes yous o happy.
Feta cheese – This is the greatest part. Once the warm olives hit it, the feta softens just enough to get all creamy.
Spice mix – A quick blend of oregano, black pepper, and chilli flakes. Nothing fancy, but it gives the olives that warm, herby kick.
Garlic – Just one clove is all you need to wake up the flavours.
Olive oil – A light drizzle ties everything together and helps the spices coat the olives just right.
Small oven-safe ceramic bowl – Super handy for warming the olives, but also great for all kinds of little appetizers like baked cheese, roasted veggies, or anything you want to pop in the oven for a few minutes.
Food processor or blender – super handy for mixing everything into a smooth, creamy texture.

How to Store Leftover Marinated Olives With Feta
I highly doubt that you’ll have to deal with any leftovers of marinated olives with feta, but in case that happens simply place everything in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Warm them for 20-30 seconds in the microwave before serving to soften the cheese base again.
